International Student Advocacy Meetings (ISAM)

The International Student Advocacy Constituency at the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) Ontario continues to meet regularly to discuss matters concerning International students on university and college campuses across Ontario. These meetings are chaired by the co-commissioners, and are open to all. You can reach out to the co-commissioners at <[email protected]> to get more details on how to join these meeting spaces regularly.

Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC)

The joint health and safety committee (JHSC) is composed of worker and employer representatives. This co-operative involvement ensures that everything possible is done to identify and eliminate or mitigate workplace health and safety hazards. Together, they should be mutually committed to improving health and safety conditions in the workplace. Committees identify potential health and safety issues and bring them to the employer’s attention and must be kept informed of health and safety developments in the workplace by the employer.

Police Free Campuses Working Group (PFCWG)

The Police Free Campuses Working Group is a group of university-based abolitionist groups and students members! Our coalition demands cops off of all University and College campuses in Ontario. Further, we demand the abolition of ALL policing, not just campus-based. We are committed to sharing strategies, resources, and capacity as we demonstrate collective power through building movements on our own campuses and coordinating actions across Turtle Island.
